Roof leak repair and roof repair in St. Louis
Water shows up on a ceiling a long way from where it got through the roof. We find where it is getting in, then we tell you whether a repair will hold.

Have a leak? Start with these details
- Where the water shows up inside — which room, and whether it is the ceiling, a wall or around the chimney.
- When you first noticed it, and whether it only appears in certain weather.
- Whether it is wet right now or has dried out.
- Anything that changed recently: a storm, a new skylight, a satellite dish, work on the gutters.
- Photos of the stain inside, and of the roof if you can take them safely from the ground.
- Whether you are putting in an insurance claim.
How a leak repair runs
-
You send the details. Our office reads them and calls you back.
-
We inspect the roof, including the places water uses to get past it: flashing, boots, valleys, the chimney, skylights and the field of the roof.
-
You get a written estimate. If a repair will hold, we say so. If it won't, we tell you what will.
-
We do the repair — or the replacement, if that is what the roof needs.
What you get after the inspection
We are roofers, not insurance adjusters. We do not decide your claim and we do not speak for your insurer.
- Photographs of what we found, with the roof and the damage identified.
- A written estimate for the work we are recommending.
- The findings in plain language, so you can pass them on.
Questions we get
- Do you only do repairs?
- No. Repairs are where we start and what we are known for, and we also do full roof replacements. If a repair is not going to hold, we quote the replacement instead of selling you the repair twice.
- Can you tell me whether to repair or replace?
- That is what the inspection is for. If a repair will hold, we say so. If it won't, we tell you what will, and the numbers are in writing before anything is scheduled.
- How do you find where a leak is coming from?
- We look at the roof itself and at the details water uses to get past it, and we check the inside of the roof where that is possible. Which tools we use depends on the roof and the weather.
- The stain has stopped growing. Does it still need looking at?
- A stain that has dried out does not mean the way in has closed. Send us what you have and we will tell you what we think after we have been on the roof.
- What does a leak repair cost?
- We do not quote a roof we have not seen. You get one written estimate for the work we are recommending, and you decide from there.
